I went to the school of Supro and got a small new toy. Should be fun. I can tweak without opening up the amp.

Hope you like it! I had fun with one at GC. The switches actually do stuff.

This thing has some serious tones! All the switches do something like Supro said. It suprised me! I beat GC up on the price a bit and came home with it. I only found one setting that I didn't like. British tone (beefy) with the high gain switched in. Notes lost definition with the gain at 3/4. That's all! Switch to USA with the more pronounced midrange and the same settings, and it is usable again. I am impressed! :D The AC setting is voiced like a Vox with grind and growl, but buzzy with the gain cranked.(Like a Vox) I got both the Strat and Tele out for the quick and thorough run through. I have a shredder guitar (bridge humbucker) that I didn't try, because it was so impressive with just the Fenders. Amazing tones from a 14" by 8" box. This thing is dead nuts quiet too. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in a studio environment. Not sure if it has the poop for a club gig though. Big salute to Bruce E :!:

Who makes the head with both 6V6's and EL84's? That sounds like a great idea. I think it's the TA-15 from MESA, not sure though. Screw it, I wanna build a Deluxe like the guy posting a couple of threads down!!!

Egnater makes one. Rebel 20, I believe.

Congrats rjake! And welcome to the "Brotherhood of the Egnater"

Yep and the power tubes can be blended to any degree you wish. There's a volume bump around 12:00 too. More power and more headroom. Don't underestimate the 15 watts. These things can get seriously loud. I run my Rebel 20 with two 1x12 cabs in some fairly large places with no problem. The speakers in these things are very efficient.

Thanks Supro! I compared this to others, Jet City, Blackstar, etc. and this has the better tone by far. The Jet wasn't clear, the Blackstar was sterile sounding, and the others were uneventful, one trick ponies. They had the complete line of little Egnaters in one stack, and this was in the price range, after negotiations. (Brand new in the unopened box) The versatility is amazing.

oh supro, this brings a sweet tear to my eye. i too know your feeling it arent you?
the brotherhood has once again taken a step forward in growth. we now need to get matching tatoo's. lol

that tweaker rocks. ive played through several of them. i like them a lot. yes they are gigable if they are mic'ed. i want one of those too. i have other amps in line before i jump on one ( mesa 5:50, fender deluxe reverb, marshall 401 or haze) when i find it on the cheap.
