I personally like them. 8) I have a really old one inside my ampeg... and the tone that comes out of it is bluesy goodness...

Anyways I'm thinking about if I ever get a Peavey Classic 30, I might replace the speaker with a Jensen falcon

Any opinions, thoughts and concerns?

The ones made in Chicago ? yep none better.

The new crop from italy ? not so much.

You would do yourself a huge favor and try a Weber or some of the better eminence flavors.

My 59 Bassman LTD came alive after selling off the cheap jensen wannabees and installing webers.

If import Jensens were the last speakers on planet Earth, I'd play through earbuds.

I've only had one RI Jensen in an amp and I didn't care for it,it came in a '57 Fender Deluxe RI...believe me,I tried to like it but I like Weber speakers, and the new Jensen doesn't sound near as good to me....so a Weber replaced the Jensen in the Deluxe.

I'm glad this 65 Twin Reverb RI I picked up was old enough to have the eminence in it and not the jensens.

Its sad that fender has to cut costs on such an important part of the tone shaping of an amp, but I suppose the market demanded lower pricing or they would not have gone the Jensen route, surely they didn't think the name alone would sell more amps ????

From what I see Fender still employs real players that run the different divisions.

+1 Also depends on which model Jenson. Not a huge fan of the Mod series.
