You should try something out of the well known path of the Blues Driver and Tube sreamer and go for the new Boss Baseman 59 pedal or the Boss Delux Reverb 65 pedal.

Both have been authorized by Fender to Boss and they are just amazing beleave me.

Full-Drive 2, OCD, and Fuzz Face all sound great. As mentioned, MXR Distortion+ is awesome through this amp, as is the good ol' Rat pedal. TS-9 sounds great through almost anything, and the Blues Jr. is no exception.

There is, however, a class of pedal that's been overlooked with a Blues Jr. The BOOST pedal!

Any good boost pedal does awesome things with this amp, at all volume and drive levels. The Luxury Drive (either T. Rex or Jauernig) is my current favorite, but I've used Rangemaster clones as well as full-range and frequency adjustable boost pedals with results worth writing about.

If you've never run a boost pedal into your Blues Jr., give t a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the results.
