what kind of pedal? I play blues-rock and rock in general and so to the tube amp owners (not just blues junior but deluxe, etc....) What pedals do ya'll use to maximize the tone of the popular tube amps?

And also if you play the blues what kind of pedals do ya'll like to use (wah-wah, etc....)

I use the following pedals with a Super Sonic and Blues Jnr.

Tech 21 Comptortion
Jim Dunlop 535Q Wah
Lab Systems Duodrive pedal (made in Australia)
MXR distortion plus.

Digitech Bad Monkey OD pedal works very well with my Blue's Jr. It's very touch sensitive and gives you a very natural, juicy, tube rectifier OD sound. Having an EQ section with two tone pots (Bass and Treble) really adds to the tonal flexibility. Dirt cheap and built like a tank, it works very well with both my guitars (Gretsch 6116 PTV Power Tenny and Fender '52 Thin Skin Tele).

I don't play that much blues, but I love the way the TS-9 Tube Screamer sounds with my Jr. I also run a Boss TR-2 trem pedal and occasionally a Vox 847 Wah.

I also like TS-9 with my Blues Jr. Also sounds great with a Pro Jr.

I usually use it with my crybaby wah and a boss blues driver, but lately I've just been plugging directly in to the blues jr, turning up the volume and letting those tubes do their thing and liking what I'm hearing.

For blues I usually use no pedal at all. A Tube Screamer will work and be really simple. You could even cascade 2 together.

I use a 'Real Tube' distortion with a 12AU7 replacing the 12AX7 and either a Crybaby or Bad Horsey wah. Occasionally I use an old Ibanez UE305 Multi pedal with Compression/Delay/Stereo Chorus. But I love the sound of a Strat plugged straight in to it. Get a Cannibus Rex speaker also...well worth the price!!!

For my tastes, you can't beat a TS-9 Tubescreamer. Lots of flexibility to dial in your sound.

I play my Blues Jr about halfway up on volume and master and then run it through a cry baby, MXR Phase 90 (70's vintage, yeah!!!), a behringer digital delay and a behringer overdrive. i scored the behringer pedals on ebay from "newvistasales" for about $25 each, and they sound suprisingly good! Heck of a deal of those pedals. I can work all kinds of magic with this pedal combination. I run the amp miked with sm58. Its sounds great!

I've had a couple of tube screamers and a Barber Direct Drive which are nice in front of my Blues Deluxe for a tight modern rock sound. More recently I've been favouring my Boss OD-3 because it doesn't compress the low end of the signal as much. To my ear it gives a broader, more full range sound. For the "stack in the box" sound I use my Boss DS-1...again, it gives a nice full response. Some one recommended the Bad Monkey which is also a really nice choice for a natural overdrive sound.

I totally dig the Blues Junior straight up, no pedals, however, I do use the stock footswitch for that "fat" sound.
tele/strat+cable+blues junior = saaawwweeet sound 8)

The Tube Screamer has worked out quite nicely through my Blues Jr. and I have also been playing with a Seymour Duncan Tweak fuzz for a recent project.
