Clueless as well, I'm afraid.

But we have a resident expert who frequents this board name of "Johnny Static". Nobody here knows the cyber-series amps better than he. He'll be along presently.

And welcome to the forum!

Arjay

Knobs will twirl unassisted, pilot lamps will wink on and off in reverence, and tilt-back legs shall wave a respectful greeting as his entourage hails into view.

Well, I did post and suggest he read the owner's manuals, which 9 times out of 10 hasn't been done.

first, welcome to the forum!

second, nice to see so many fans out there.

i hope you stick around awhile despite some of mother nature's throwbacks voicing their wit and charm. at like at any zoo (or forum), it's useful to throw them something they gnaw on, it calms them down, then the whole cycle repeats itself. higher forms of life understand this, we know they can't help themselves. the lower forms are commonly referred to a toobers. some are clowns, hard to tell the diff. but don't let them worry you, that's why we have cages! and guards with sheep hooks to catch them!

to the problem at hand: the foot controller only issues midi commands, it cannot be programmed. only the Cyber Twin can be programmed. when the cyber twin receives MIDI commands from the foot controller, it maps the numbers from the foot controller to the presets (Your Amp, Custom Shop, and Player's Lounge). the range of numbers on the foot controller goes from 000 to 127, there are 250 total presets in the cyber twin se (50 Your Amp, 100 Custome shop, 100 Player's Lounge). when you program the cyber twin, you create a map between the foot controller numbers and the presets. this is done one-by-one (one mapping at a time) and saved one-at-a-time. very tedious. or you can use a software package called cyber commander that me and my bud created available from http://www.generalcybersystems.com/

the cyber twin paired with cyber commander is a system that works very well. the software will help you get at tones and settings with a simple mouse click. it took me a long time to really discover what the cyber twin can do, cyber commander unlocks those secrets with the first 5 minutes of use. it makes discovering your tones easy, using the cyber twin a snap. and the tones are definitely in there. once you gain confidence and mastery of the cyber twin, you'll be ready for the stage use and you'll be able to do stuff well beyond what any "one-trick" amp can do. this is a true gigging stage amp and with cyber commander, you can easily program any kind of venue you want, a mouse click away.

the funniest thing will be the compliments you'll get from toob amp guys congratulating you on your terrific toob amp - just don't let them see that it's a cyber twin. enjoy a good laugh at the bar. and toss them a peanut so they can gnaw a bit.

ciao,
john.
