Hi guys, I just made a profile here hoping that someone can help me out. This question might sound amateurish, but I'm not entirely sure what the function of the MIDI in this amp does.

What I want to do is play my electric guitar and be able to get it into my computer as MIDI data - is this amp capable of this? Do I need a separate pedal for this or something? Has anyone done this?

Thanks soo much!

MIDI does not mean that you play your guitar and the notes go to your computer. MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is an industry-standard protocol that enables electronic musical instruments (synthesizers, drum machines), computers and to communicate and synchronize with each other.

So with the CT-SE, this allows the CT pedal board to communicate with the CT to change preset channels, not to send audio to your computer.

I record with Reaper as a DAW, here I use the XLR-Out from my CT to a Cakewalk UA-4FX: external USB Audio/MIDI Interface http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=758&ParentId=104, arm a track and record. The UA-4FX 'captures' the audio from my CT and records it to Reaper as a audio track.
