I bought a used FM 212 DSP amp recently and it didn't come with the foot switch. I went to Guitar Center and ordered one. when I finally got it, it didn't work properly. I noticed it wasn't the right part number (0070946000). I took it back and told them it was the wrong switch. They said they would try to get the right one and let me know when it came in.this was two months ago. The Fender web site does not list this part number in the accessories section. Can anyone tell me how to get this foot switch? Also, I scored a Marshall 1960 4X12 cabinet cheap and was wondering if I can plug this into my FM212DSP without harm to either one?

Hi nitromike66,

The guy at GC may have just misplaced the note that he wrote about your foot switch, I find that I have to call back and remind them sometimes. You might try eBay for the foot switch also, but GC should have no problem getting one (low commission on foot switch, keep after them).

For part number 0070946000 (is this the part number for the foot switch for your amp?)

Since your amp is a solid state, you can use just about any 4 ohm or higher speaker cab, I wouldn't use anything lower than 4 ohms. Just make sure that the wattage of the speakers are equal to, or greater than the amp that you use with them. Unfortunately, I am not sure that there is a speaker jack on your amp, the speaker cable is probably soldered to the circuit board. You might have to fashion an extension to your speaker cable to be able to connect it to an external cab.

Por favor, disculpe mi español, no se llega a la práctica con mucha frecuencia.
