Hi all,

I have a couple questions concerning the Fender Twin amp. I had one at one point and loved it. I've tried quite a few other amps since and the Fender Twin has remained my favorite. The only thing is that they are incredibly loud. Is there a way to reduce the volume to practice levels? I know the amp is not meant for practice, but the tones are second to none? Is there a pedal that could accomplish this?

Also, would anyone know if the Fender Custom Shop might consider making a 40watt Twin? That would be pretty cool.

Thanks for all the help

They've been building this one for several years now......

Thanks for the link. I've researched this amp and think it is amazing, but I don't feel it has the versatility of a Fender Twin. Still, an amazing amp.

Ummm, so to which "Fender Twin" amp are you referring to? There have been several versions over the years: Tweed, Brown Face, Black Face, Silver Face, Reissue. Which one?

Ever hear of a thing called an "attenuator"?

Uh......that is a "Fender Twin", sir. The original, in fact.

I skipped school the week they taught mind-reading so when you figure out WTF it is that you think you need, you holler and we'll try to advise appropriately.

Good day

I laughed. But it really is an amp legendary enough to be worthy of some defense. 8)

hey guys i think he is talking bout a pro tube Twin~Amp
100 W - 212 - one clean one dirty channel -
6 - 12AX7
4 - 6L6
2 - 12AT7

if so,,, it does have a 25 W switch but is still crazy crazy loud on the so called 25 W
very very heavy too- heavier than a twin reverb

they just discontinued them, and now we have a 100 W super sonic

I have a SS 22 and this "Twin~Amp" - they have a lot of the same features and sound
just without a busted back

I take this amp and place the clean and dirty channel volumes on 5, then i use my guitar volume from there, usually around 4-7
if i want more dirt, then i goto 9-10 on the guitar and back off to 4 on the amp.

It would be nice if the OP told us exactly which "Twin Amp" he is talking about rather than us wasting our time guessing.

Really? What in the OP's post leads you to that conclusion? Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see the word "Reverb" anywhere in the OP's post and he hasn't bothered to return and answer any of our questions. How many amps did Fender build with the words "Twin" and "Amp" in them?

Don't be so serious. It was a joke. Actually I don't understand why Maximus hasn't gotten back to us on that. Don't worry Maximus. Fill us in on the details so we can help.
