When I plug my rev/vib switch in it takes the volume down very low with almost no sound. When the switch is plugged in you cant turn the reverb or vibrato on or off but if you plug in and out of the amp the reverb is turned on and or off. I'm not that great with electronics but is there something I could check to see what the problem might be?

Likely a problem with the footswitch cable.

Does the vibrato switch on and off correctly when using the footswitch?

Footswitch cable probably shorted. There were a rash of these defects some time back (2-3 years ago) -- most were successfully resolved via warranty replacement.

The term of warranty is five years.

Be sure to take your original bill of sale with you -- nothing happens without it.
