The 600 for me sounded boxy and raspy when pushed. You're only going to get so much tone from a tiny speaker. The Weber replacement would be somewhat better or just plug it into a real speaker cabinet. It's very cheaply built too. What I would do is save a couple more bucks and either get a 70's SF Champ or build a clone. I do have a Pignose too and it's a blast to play. I even built a BYOC reverb unit and use it with it too. Pretty cool stuff. Pignose also makes a 20 watt rechargeable battery powered amp too called the Hog 20 for around 150 bucks.

As far as reliability goes, I've had my Pignose since around 1973 and still works fine. It is far more reliable than my HRDlx ever was.

What?!?! You are dismissing the tonal qualities of tweed? Everyone knows of the superior resonant characteristics of a tweed covering on an amp. Even the Strat that I keep in a tweed case sounds better than the one I keep in the molded plastic case.

yep you cant kill the pig. i use my OCD and carbon copy through mine.
i take that little rig anywhere i go. every time someone hear's it they trip out.
they always say that they never would have guessed a rig so small could sound so good
and has a good bit of volume to boot. the whole rig can be stored in a shoe box lol.

If you want to control the tone, just open the box a little.

It's a fun no hassle little amp.
