I want to know the difference between 59 Bassman and Hod Rod Blues Deville/Deluxe. My style is SRV, KWS or Eric Clapton....but I'm beginner . I love classical fender tone and I've got Fender 7602. so for Guitar amplifier, what the better choice for me? many thanks! :P

The reissue series are made in the USA (59 bassman, 65 deluxe reverb etc...) with better parts = more reliable.

Have you thought of trying out one of the new Mustang series amps?
One of them may be right for the combination of styles you mentioned.

As for anything from the Hot Rod series - do a search. There has benn many, many complaints and reliability problems posted.

The Bassman sound is legendary.
Someone told me, that Buddy Guy used one for years, and that some UK brand copied it for their amps. :P

Dozens of visits with an amp tech to have the HR repaired.

Like everyone said , better construction.45 watts compared to 60 on the deville.Having owned the Bassman , the tone is hard to beat , good warm tone , nice picking dynamics , and the best breakup sound you will probably ever hear. There is a reason Jim Marshall used the bassman as inspiration for his first amps. The bassman also has a tube rectifier. No reverb on the bassman , but you will never miss it.At 53 lbs, its probably the lightest 4x10 amp out there.

Greatly Thanks for the advice above. I've take a bassman home today. Although it hard to find in Beijing, fortunately, I found one with reasonable price and take home undoubtely.
