Friends, Supporters, et Al,

First, Mustangs seem to have everyone's attention, gotta point out, the Cyber Twins are still the best IMO. I have both and have come to that conclusion. Cyber Twins do more and sound better. Either are great value for the money, especially compared to way-overpriced tube amps that just may stunt your creative growth. I am wearing Kevlar underwear.

Folks are asking us if we have software for the Mustang amps. Unless we get a lot more info, i don't see how any kind of reliable Mustang software could be produced by anyone outside of Fender - there's no "developer's kit" and there's a lot of hidden data you have to know. The Cyber Twins were different because they were controllable through "general purpose" MIDI interfaces and the only thing you need was your own determination.

Comparing Mustang software to Cyber Commander, Cyber Commander still much more functional and "user friendly". Could never stand pull down menus, can not stand "now you see it, now you don't", generally a poor excuse for not working out the user interface or way too much snazzification taking over utility. Function first, form to follow. PS, we have a lot of good ideas for a Mustang software, but we don't see how we could develop anything "industrial grade" for the Mustangs.

Cyber Commander software continues on WITHOUT bugs, nearly 3 years since first released (Sept 23, 2008). Not bad for 20,000 lines of source code - yep, it's that big. The secret: test, test, test, test, test... and test some more. Then release. See http://www.generalcybersystems.com/GCSWebSite/index.php for details, manuals at bottom of page: http://www.generalcybersystems.com/GCSW ... ources.php .

Feedback from everyone who has Cyber Commander has been very, very positive - many thanks to all of our supporters http://www.generalcybersystems.com/GCSW ... upport.php . We'll continue to serve you as best as we can and will always be there for you.

However, the Trading Post website had bug and prevented new users from posting their presets! We became aware of this only recently and fixed the error. Everyone should be able to post there at http://www.generalcybersystems.com/GCSWebSite/Tp.php

Ciao,
Johnny.

Yes, this is true, I've used CC with my CT and have never had any problems with the software.

I have to agree also... I have been running Cyber Commander since it first came out and it is rock solid... I use it to control 2 cyber Twin SE's.... About a month ago the computer I have Cyber Commander on died (HardDrive) so I e-mailed Gereral Cybersystems just to see if I had to buy the software again (It's been almost 3 years) and they sent me everything again and had me up and running on the new computer in no time.... Now that's what I call service.... :D :D

A tip: :D
If you think the Cyber-Twin amps are just too complicated -- try using the Cyber Commander software with it. It puts EVERYTHING about the amp on one screen of your computer. And, it's done in a way that is easy to understand and use.

I'm not in any way a part of the company that makes any of the software or amp. I'm just someone that has found a couple of excellent products and want to pass the news along to others.

?and tube amps stink? ah teenagers... they say the darndest things, don't they?

on other matters, if you get get a chance, try exercising the Player's Lounge editor & Midi Map editor. We did our best to make it "drag'n'drop" easy to use.

ciao,
john.

Well they do, Johnny -- let's be honest.

They reek with vintage vibe.

And that's something you can't simulate with lines and lines and lines of software code.

johnny answer me this please. When you come on here to talk about these cyber amps and such why do you have to insult tube amps every time?

not tube amps. they are inanimate objects, the result of a design effort and the current manufacturing process. they simply are.

seeing as how this post is about cyber commander & cyber twins, one would expect cyber twin owners to show up, if anything to trade some experiences, lessons learned, some wisdom. which is what's been happening, sort of.

then toobers show up, and being the engaging entertainers that they are (maybe too much overdrive?), they engage. so who are we not to engage and have some sport and entertain ourselves a bit? so don't get insulted and mad, relax & have a bit of fun. i am. i'm pretty sure arjay is. you?

ciao,
john.

Indeed, Cyber commander is the best !
It's about time though I install it on my newer pc, The old Dell doesn't get to much run time lately :)

I use both, the Cyber commander and the amp itself to create my patches. A couple of them have become standard for me to use and I'm about to open a new topic with some ramblings around Cybie and my new Fender avri '62 lefthanded. Love the guitar btw :)
I adapted my Super reverb based patch to the Avri '62 and though it's about time to share it.

Johnny I understand you wanting to talk aboult what you like but why every time you do you always have to put down tube amps. Seems to me to just start crap. I like to read everything on here and these amps interest me though I don,t own one.
