My 2004 fender twin reverb is making a crackling distorted tone when i strom it when it should be clean the mids being cranked makes the volume lower and you can barely hear when its on 3. I noticed when replacing the fuse that there was a 4 A 250V in there when there should be a 4 A 125Vac. could this cause a problem? Also the led light had been flickering the last couple weeks

I need HELP!?

P.S. - I have a show tomorrow doesnt look like im using this amp :(

Fuses mostly pop depending on excess current (amps) passing through them and not voltage. So a 250V rated fuse should work ok as a 125V rated one, as long as the current is correct. You can try a LITTLE Deoxit D5 on the contacts in the fuse and see if this helps.

It sounds like the soldering on the heater wires (which also powers the power lamp) maybe bad. This is a reissued Twin Reverb?
