Here's what I'm looking at,
Egnater tweaker 15 watts( head and cab version)
Fender blues jr
Vox AC 15c1 15 watt
Or a used 65 DRRI,
Or trade my sc xd, line 6 spiderjam ( oops, not man, iPhone)
And hr deville and get a supersonic, or new DRRI
Ah decisions decisions

There are a litany of DRRI fans here. I wouldn't be surprised to see everyone recommend that. I've had no experience with it personally but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find bad reviews.

Yep the DRRI used or new would be hard to beat from the ones on your list.

T2 (one of the litany)

would it be wise to sell my hr deville to get the drri?
i really want an amp that can do a clean really well, and breaks up nicely .
my deville is 2x12, the drri is 1x12,
i would prefer a high quality amp vs a good loud amp.

i love the option to hit some rhythm tremolo tracks that is footswitchable, and nice reverb. and use the volume knob to break the amp up.

i want to down size my gear, to quality stuff.

The DRRI is the epitome of a reliable grab-and-go Fender combo that's suitable for anything from a garage jam to a medium-sized saloon. Used examples in serviceable condition may be found on Ebay and C/L for as low as $600.

Thanks, thats what I've been reading reviews.
I've gotta do A B C comparison. I've played the DRRI before
And has a sweet clean sound.

DRRI used in good shape or just do a tube amp build
i like to have chassis mounted tube sockets,
you could even get a SS 60W or a SS 22 used, they are both great if you need a dirty channel as well as a clean. But if you only need a clean channel, go for the DRRi used.

I'm gonna test the DRRI tomorrow, I tried all amps at gc.
The egnater has very nice tones clean and driven.
Only drawback, is no reverb.
But his amp is great for balls out rockin tones.

This guy wants 650.00 negotiable for the
DRRI .
He's selling it because his main amp is
A 65 deluxe reverb. In great condition.

I have had a bunch of amps including the HRDX and the Blues deluxe. The drri is twice the amp of either one of them .Clear, articulate notes.Lush reverb and nice tremolo. It will last alot longer than most of the other amps mentioned and it is so versatile.Strats, Les Pauls, you can get anything to sound nice thru it.I would go for it.

+1

My Blues Dlx that I had since the 90s is gone, so is a HR DeVille, so is a Mesa Lonestar Special, a few other amps that didn't last long... my DRRI is here to stay!

There isn't a single gig/jam I go to that someone doesn't come up to me to ask about that sweet tone... when I have the tone I enjoy it more and I play way better, so yes a DRRI will improve your playing ;)

Buy the used one, have it looked over, get some decent tubes, a speaker upgrade later if you want to, and never look back.

+1,000. The Tweaker ain't bad either. A used Egnater Rebel 20 would be a great choice too and really versatile. I've owned a rebel for over a year and have had not one issue with it and gig it pretty good.

thanks guys,
cedar, the last time we discussed eric claptons tone and i began to listen to it and began
to notice what you meant. i still love his tone, but i began to try to replicate a clean tone like cray's tone, clean and jangly.
quickly realized that i with the hr deville, i got a nice clean, just nice.

yeah the DeVille has some nice clean tones, I had the 410... but the DRRI takes it to another level of sweet clean tones.

I find this to be one of the sweetest clean Strat tone, a Strat with a BF amp turned up gets close.
