Hello everyone,

Long time lurker here.

My Fender Deville 410 was playing beautifully yesterday, then last night I went to turn it on again, it powered up but nothing happened when I took it off standby.
The power tubes weren't lighting up so I laid the amp face down and took off the back cover. Eventually the left tube lit up, I switched them to rule out that the tubes were just blown and again, the left tube outlet worked. When I stood the amp back up and again, both tube ports (outlets?) weren't getting any power. And regardless of whether one or zero power tubes lit up, I got no power going through the speakers. :x

Also, when I flick it off of standby, the overdrive channel light indicator flashes.

Again, the tubes aren't blown and it's not the fuse I can safely say. I feel like some little connection or solder was knocked loose, or at least I hope it's that simple.

I take good care of my amp, I've always turned it on and off properly, and I'm the first owner.

Any idea what could be wrong or what I'm in for as far as repairs might go. Also, I have some experience and am willing to try repairing it myself.

Hi deathtrip,

That would be the first suspect, a loose connection or poor solder joints on the tube socket connections on the circuit board and/or on the main circuit board. Make sure that the amp is unplugged and the capacitors are discharged before soldering or poking around inside the amp.
