I use a Fender 212r and I play a lot of blink-182 and Green Day. For these bands, blink especially they start with a clean sound and then for the chorus they change to distortion. How can I do this. I've got a foot pedal to switch channel so it's more of the settings etc. Please help.

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with your amp. But if you're not getting the results you want by switching amp channels, then try experimenting with an overdrive or distortion pedal in the clean channel. Switch in the dirty channel for rifs, solos etc.

Grab $40 and go to your nearest guitar store and pick up a Boss DS-1 Distortion or a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive. Either would be a good intro to pedals and give you exactly what you're looking for.

i have the amp, make sure the volume on the drive channel is up and for the type of sound your looking for, keep the mid contour off and put the drive on about 7... as for mid, trebble and bass... that depends on what guitar youre using...
