so, I love this amp. And I love to make threads about this amp. Sorry if it's too many.

Anyway, I noticed that reverb control set on ten is way harsh and i'm left with no choice but to bring it to 9 1/2. Does anyone know of a cap. or something to add to the circuit or any other mods to help tame this beast?

"10" sounds bad but "9 1/2" sounds good? :?:

I just put mine on 10, probably for the first time ever. Yeah, I agree, it sucks. LOL

I am :?: :? . Do you like to play in a cave or something? It sucks on 10 but I can't hear being any different on 9. What kind of music do you play?

Mine goes to 11.
You see, sounds better, because it's one more.

Just joking.

Seriously, even when playing Surf-music, anything above 7 is cruel....maybe something wrong with the reverb?

What sounds good to me may not sound good to others, and what sounds good to others may not sound good to me.

For me there is a limit on how much reverb sound good.

Yeah it's hard to describe...when It's cranked all the way, it sounds harsh, like something switched off and it's just different...i would like more control and a smother sound at high levels

If more reverb overhead is needed perhaps a echo or tape delay could be added for more reverb effect.

The stand-alone 6G15 reverb tank is arguably the best tube-driven effect available and allows for independent control over the dwell, mix, and tone of the wet (reverb) signal. It's a lot more flexible than the on-board system of most Fender amps with reverb and will produce nearly 100% more delay. The CS Vibro King and Dual Professional use this type of circuit.
