You have only a "mild" case, CJM.

I own a dozen.

I'm terminal!

My latest is a K&M Jade. I called them today and talked with the G.Mgr. They only made 25 of them. When I gave him the S/N# for reference he shared that he hand built my amp. Anyway Ive owned many Fender amps...several 70's twin reverbs...a true Fender 55 princeton, a Fender 1958 harvard. Lately been into the DrZ thing and a shadow. Theyre cool as they are a new boutique company that makes Dumble and Vox-ish amps. www.shadowamplification.com Anyway, its fun as tweaking my sound is really becoming "beauty is in the ear".

GAS is a real problem, I'm not joking. The sad thing is that we often promote GAS in each other. Companies have been making rich profits from the word "tone" for years thanks in large part to forums like these.

EDIT: Take it from the person who was asking Arjay just earlier today how to get [famous guitarist's] tone. Haha. :D

Indeed!

And phrases like "Roadworn", and "Vintage Modified", and "NOS".

I prefer the real McCoy myself.

I've got two amps, but only one "real" amp (my C30). Though, I do find my Marshall MG10 very useful when I want to play along with backing tracks on my iPod into headphones...

That said, I don't find myself lusting after amps all that much. I think that part of it is that I'm not chasing an exact tone, so I'm happy with pretty much any "good" sound.

That would be an automatic oiler for a locomotive (train), what are you going to do with that?

I'm sure my comment is going to be a big hit.

Stop buying stuff and just play good music.

Save the planet.
