Does anyone know if a amp that was bought in the UK (Fender Woody Pro Junior) will operate ok on the Spanish mainland voltage. I have sold one to a guy in Valencia which was brand new. He reckons within half an hour the 12AX7's burnt out. He tried a second set and now the amp won't work. I think he may had fried a cap or something, but I am mystified as to why this has happened and am wondering if it could have anything to do with the mains voltage in Spain although it is listed at 230volts the same as UK...

Any thoughts or ideas what could be the problem

I say Yes --> UK 230-240V 50Hz G type plug, and Spain 220-240V 50Hz F type, you will find plug adaptators easily. 8)
Probably something else in the amp.
