Hey,

I Have a Pro Jr. that hums and hisses nasty when vol level is at 0-12. When ever I tilt the amp back, press on the back panel, or even touch the power tube bracket the noise stop. Any ideas?

Hi whoastphn,

It could be a ground and/or shielding issue. Are your outlets properly grounded? Use an outlet tester to assure that you actually have a ground wire to the outlets.

Is it new, still under warranty? if so, and you are sure that your outlets are properly grounded, take it back for warranty repair.

If not under warranty, and outlets are good, then check the ground wires inside the amp, being aware of the lethal voltages in the amp.
