Alright guys, I'm about to add a 2 speaker Dr Z Monza stack to my set up (dirty channel), I'm currently using a a '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue for my clean sound, but I need a 1 x 12 extension cabinet for it so i can have an equal amount of speakers per channel.

Do any of you guys know anyone that makes an aftermarket extension cabinet for the '65 deluxe reverb reissue that looks exactly like the combo amp it would be sitting under? I've been looking for a long time, and I can't believe that no one makes it.

Please let me know, I'd really really appreciate it!

Mojotone or Avatar may have something close. Or you can build your own, to your own specs. Which is what I normally do.

It can be built to match.

I will absolutely be in touch. My only question is will you guys install the speaker and jack for me, or do I do it myself?

Thanks

The jack, wiring & connectors will be installed, labeled & ready to go, and yes, we can install any speaker you send us, if that's what you'd like.

It's too bad that the Deluxe Reverb is 1" wider than the Hot Rod Deluxe cabs... :x

Jim I agree. You would think there would be a "standardization" to the designs/sizes.
That's why we decided to start building our own.
The large single 12 (or 2-10") we build is 26-1/2"W so it will fit a Twin & still look OK with a HRDeluxe as a head cab.
But since we build one at a time, we can build to measure for an exact fit & finish.

Please do a full featured build thread, I have been thinking about learning to do tolex wrap lately 8)

I'll have to buy an old amp with ripped tolex first though (or a cab fitting under my Twin Reverb).

Tolex is relatively easy to work with -- it's the grill cloth that usually requires the utmost in patience.

I've never worked with tweed linen though......I suspect there are "trade secrets" to getting the overlap patterns to match correctly.
