Take the time to become one with your guitar and amp and you will make sweet music.

You won't make jack fookin' chit if your amp is contantly "tango uniform" due to shoddy soldering, marginal components, and/or traces on a PCB that are more fragile than gossamer wings.

Shotty Soldering No big deal. But the PCB boards and components are puchased from Fender Not made by fender and they could end up in any modern piece of Musical Equipment.

Try telling that to a club owner who hired you for a weekend and your amp crapped out during your first set.

You won't be invited back, I guarantee it.

I didn't say take a shower with it. It does kind of remind me of "Young Einstein."

@Arjay - I understand what you are saying. That is one of the reasons for the "new" 69 Bassman and whatever else I can get hold of. I would personally like to use the vintage gear and have the reissues for back up. At least until I can afford to have a vintage to back up the vintage. Finding vintage gear at a realistic price is the trick.

The blackface re-issues are pretty dependable -- I own two of them (TRRI and DRRI) and have logged hundreds of problem-free gigs with both. And if someone were so motivated to fix all of the reliability and durability issues with the HR's they'd probably have a pretty nice amp. And I personally know folks who have done just that.

Well, if my HRDlx III ever dies, I may go about making it more dependable. Until then, it will be around for practice and backup.

I guess I don't have to worry about my HRD, I already had the amp doctor re solder every solder joint. Mines pretty dependable. I got it used and it did need some work, So I guess that some one Else's trash was my treasure. Plus I have a back up Amp so i'm not too worried about it.

BTW, I am saving up for a new amp, I love my HRD but I keep hearing that the best amp fender ever made was the twin reverb. but what about the vibro-verb? I kind of wanted to get a vibro-verb. but they both run about the same price used. whats the difference in tone and features? I mainly play blues and classic rock.

Guess it depends on what you want from your amp.

Check these two links out
http://www.ampwares.com/amp.asp?id=131 Vibroverb

http://www.ampwares.com/amp.asp?id=113 Twin Reverb

40w vs. 85w and the Vibroverb had no "mid" control on either channel.

masterbate, isn't that what you loosers do anyway. those amps an't so bad. maybe you should learn how to use them. you would be surprised what they can do. if you had problems you should take it back to the store. or if you ordered it off ebay then buyer beware. i love my bdri and thats a hot rod series. and many other people like them too. i have a marshall vm too. i love them both and i been at guitar playing for a very long time.maybe longer than most of the members have been alive and believe me we have seen crap some manufactrers can come up with. get a grip on your self and realise people make up their own minds not what you persuade them to. most of the stuff on this site is smoke blowing anyway. i like gibson, fender and marshall and i wouldn't take a million bucks for what i own. chill hard case opinions are like butt holes.......

You like air tools?

I STRONGLY suggest you read the forum rules regarding conduct. I seriously doubt that your spelling mistake will be a considered an argument that you really meant to call people loosers (example: someone who loosens bolts for a living) or that you were implying certain members here are fantastic fishermen and are so proficient at threading a worm onto a hook that they can justifiably be called masterbaiters. I am also pretty sure that the term butt-holes is unacceptable as well. If your tirade was directed at me personally then got off my thread until you learn what "tongue in cheek" and "sarcastic humor" means and be thankfull I don't report you.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
