I am getting a used Fender amp probably built in the last 5-7 yrs and was wondering where do I go to check my serial numbers for approximate year it was built.

Hi jasilvapt,

Contact Fender with the serial number, they may be able to tell you the date of manufacture (first link below). Also, look for the QA sticker inside the amp cabinet, on the last line there will be a two letter date code, the first letter indicating the year, and the second letter indicating the month. Then check your date code here (second link below).

Contact Fender:

Select "US", "Mex", etc.

The sticker looks like this if you have one. HJ indicates 1997 October.
