I do okay with a Hot Rod Deluxe, Though if I won the lotto I would look for a vintage "Vibro-verb"

To this day I still think my Twin Reverb is the best sounding amp Ive ever heard. I get excited every time I turn it on.

It takes pedals very well and cuts amazing but doesn't get harsh or brittle on the top end or too bassy on the bottom. I dont think there is a better Reverb out there. Also the Vibrato (tremolo) sounds amazing aswell.

The DRRI is a fine amp BUT!! Regardless of price? Vibro King all the way.

Well said and exactly my experience. After testing every reissue (Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb, Custom Vibrolux, Bassman and Twin Reverb) I too found that the only reissue that didn't have a brittle top end was the Twin Reverb. It also took every overdrive pedal I tried and made everyone sound even better.

I know it's heavy and big but it sounds so good and I will get mine in two weeks 8)

My drri sounded somewhat brittle when I bought it, but that is not the case after the speaker had a chance to break in.You can also clip the bright cap.

There are several expensive amps that haven't been brought up. Is a DRRI better than a 57 Deluxe?

That's a pretty esoteric comparison......like the proverbial "apples vs oranges" debate. Both are truly great amps but for altogether different reasons.
