I bought the Brown Tolex 60 Watt Super Sonic and the 2x12 extension cabinet.
When I sit the combo on the speaker it rocks on the Handle on the Speaker.
Is there hardware to hold it on the there correctly??? The Knobs were gone that come on top of the speaker Cabinet.

Hi calitbird,

You might have to put taller feet on your combo amp. See if you have the short metal feet on your amp, those aren't made for sitting on a cabinet, and they can tear the covering on the cab. My HRDlx had to have taller softer feet to sit on top of the HRd extension cab.

I purchased a used Fender Vibro-King 2x12 cabinet for my Twin Reverb. On top of the cabinet were, for lack of better words foot holding "cups" screwed into the top of the cabinet. They did not line up the same as Twins legs so I removed them. The Twin sits just fine even with the handle still on the cabinet. I then put the "cups" on my Fender Deluxe 1x12 speaker cabinet. My DRRI sits perfectly on top of that extension speaker. Unless the previous owner came up with the "cup" idea, I would think that Fender must sell those "cups" as aftermarket items. Before I did this the only solution was to remove the handle from the extension speaker and place a piece of non-skid material between the two so the amp won't slide around if you bump into it.

I just checked the feet on both my DRRI and my Twin and the Twin's feet are taller. You may solve your problem with picking up a set of Twin Reverb feet. Yours should be a three prong foot and the twins feet are attached by a single screw in the middle of the foot. I hope that helps.

@ Kenny V - I was thinking of using a 112 ext cabinet with my DRRI - what's your verdict?

Tom,
I use a 112 speaker cabinet with my DRRI and it sounds great. As I posted before the only issue is the handle on the 112 cabinet. At first I removed it and now I put the handle back on the 112 and placed the DRRI on top of the cabinet cabinet with the "cup" holders placed on top of the cabinet and it fits fine. I would look for the holders or a set of Twin Reverb feet which are a better quality foot and taller than the feet on your DRRI. The feet on the DRRI are quite easy to take off with a flat bladed screwdriver. The 112 cabinet (23 1/2" wide x 10"deep) is not quite as wide as your DRRI, but the cabinet deeper than your DRRI, (24 1/2" wide x 9 1/2"deep) so it is a sturdy fit. They look like they belong together. I also put Fender metal corners on my DRRI so I had to reposition the feet. The Fender corners will not fit on the 112 cabinet. I am charging up my camera so I will try and post a photo for you later on later on.

Thanks for your reply, Kenny. I had a 112 in tweed to go with my BDRI but sold them as a pair recently. I really liked the bigger sound I got from them though, and was wondering why I'd never heard of anyone pairing up the 112 cab with a DRRI.

As for the feet, I recall my 112 came with a set of feet specially for fitting to the amp that was going to sit on top of it. Or don't they match the DDRI?

Tom,
The feet on the DRRI are a bit small in height. The foot is a three prong 1/2" aluminum foot that are hammered into the bottom of the amp.

Thanks for the tips, Kenny. Now I've got my amp at home again I can see the issue with the feet.
