I have a MIM strat and a 410 HRD and am finding that in order to get the best clean sound I have to keep my guitar volume at 5 to 7, especially when the amp is turned up. Any other suggestions in getting the cleanest sounds using this amp and guitar... Thanks.

Hi hsk120,

That amp should be fairly clean on the clean channel, even at higher volume, mine is. When the amp is cranked to the point of distortion, turning the guitar volume down to clean up the sound is a common way to do it. Maybe turn the amp's mid tone pot way down to maybe 2 or 3, bass at 6 and treble at 8, for a cleaner sound.

Decreasing the presence control may also help.

I have a question. When i turn up the volume on my HRDV 410, there is no sound untill the amp knop almost reach 2, then the sound is suddenly wery strong.
I´m worried becouse i think that i use to play on 1 at home before, but it fell in the tour bus this weekend.
How about yours?

(I´m from sweden so my english might be a little poor)

Hi Bandini,

You may have a broken solder joint, or a cracked circuit trace, on the main circuit board, caused by the fall. If you take it in for repair, or do it yourself, make sure to touch up all of the solder joints in the amp while you are at it.

(Your English is fine  )

Thanks!
I have to take it to a pro.
It sounds normal from 2 and up but you know it´s always irritating when you suspect that something is not 100 % right.
