Hello all.
I have a question that may seem a bit silly.
I ve beene looking for an amp to start gigging with, and yesterday i tried a Blues Deluxe Reissue. Loved it, and it gave me the tone and sound i was looking for. More so than the HRD Deville i tried next to it.
And to my question. With the series III Hotrod series there wre some cosmetic changes. Was the same done with the Blues Deluxe RI. Only ask because as muckh as i liked the sound from it. I hated the upside down control panel. The mosy annoying thing ever. But im not sure if the Blues Deluxe reissue was the later series III model or an earlier series?
Was the Blues Deluxe also facelifted when the Series III Hotrods wre given a makeover?

Thanks in advance.

at this time no. i've had mine for two years and it hasn't let me down. try it with a compressor in the effects loop and run it on clean channel with the volume pushed all the way up and the mids as well. back off on the compressor's level to about 10 or 11 o'clock. turn the bass to 1 and you will really love the result. don't be afraid to crank it with the compessor turned down that will keep it from blowing you out. oh yeh, plug a les paul direct into number 1 input. you can actually reach "beano" territory. your question an't silly. this is a great amp. i have the proof.

To answer your question. The new version of the Blues Deluxe was reissued not long ago. the original version ended its run in 1997.

The new Mexican version has a bias pot and there may be a few durability updates as well. The backwards knobs are on the new version. No big deal to me.

Anyone know the differences between the Mexican and older USA besides the pot?

When was the first year for the reissue?

I've seen some schematic revision, but no significant change excepted the bias pot.
