That reminds me of this CRAZY Standel (I think). Opened it up and all the solid state circuit boards were sealed in some kinda epoxy casing. Making it impossible to fix individual parts.

Didn't Tom Petty use SS Voxes in the late 1970's-early 80's?

Sealed in epoxy. Sounds kinda paranoid. Like Dumble.

The great George Benson used a polytone brute throughout his career.

Somebody mentioned B.B.King the other day as using a SS amp.
A guy told me one time he played a venue at the same time as B.B. and couldn't wait to ask him how he got "that tone",B.B. just replied,"I turns my amp all the way up." :D

I believe he used a Lab series amp.

The SuperBeatle Models. I heard that Super Beatles were in the backline when he performed for the Super Bowl.

And was also mentioned the other day, John Fogerty used Kustom SS in the early CCR years. Now, he's quite the equipment freak using a variety of amps, effects and of course guitars...often changing guitars after each number. Love the looks of the "bat" for a novelty with Center field.

Albert King still sounds like Albert King when playing through SS amps...

But IMO he sounds even better through a tube amp. Same for BB, I was lucky to see him back in the early 90s in a small venue and he was playing through what looked like a DR or some other small Blackface amp, it was one of the best tones I ever heard from him!

I saw B.B. King at Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo in 1973 or 1974 and he was using an Acoustic, and it had a horn in it, for crying out loud. Sounded great!
