I guess I could be called a tube purist, but not really, all of my amps are pure tube and I don't consider it anything else until I add a pedal, which at times I do and then it's not all tube...does it matter to me if a pedal is digital or analog, not really, but how it sounds is the important part and does it make my tube amp sound good.
And yeah,it gets hot down here in Tennessee and the humidity is so high you feel like you could drown...my amps love it!

Arjay, know what's funny? I downloaded the "Woodstock Bootlegs" and it was pretty interesting. They really did doctor up some of the performances big time. The recordings were pretty raw. But they seemed authentic.
Leslie West says, "If you remember Woodstock, you weren't there". LOL

I've seen plenty of SS amps take a dump in my lifetime.

Me too. My wife's a teacher, and currently uses my tube amp for her jazz band concerts because her school's Peavey Bandit is currently broken.

Then again, if I let my amp be handled by a bunch of 11-13 year old kids on a daily basis, who knows if it would hold up much better! The Bandit should be commended for its years of faithful service.
