Hi guys, I just inherited a princeton 65 dsp amp...and I noticed that whenever I paly in clean..theres a faint overdrive-distortiony sound that follows in the background...is there some circuit part loose or need resoldering? I sort of popped the fuse a few days ago since I its US voltage ratings and I plugged it in using the wrong tranformer here in CHina...do you think this could have cause the faint dirty channel seepage?...Ive plugged it in the PWR IN..and its nice and clean..and when I turn all the knobs down to 0..you could still hear a faint twang of the guitar...the amp is around 2002 era so..do you think its just age?thanks guys!

What difference does it make if you can still faintly hear the guitar when the amp knobs are turned to zero? Do you often sit around and play the guitar with the amp knobs turned to zero? Yes, it's possible that you could have done some more damage when you plugged the amp into the wrong voltage. If it did cause other damage, it isn't likely something loose, nor bad solder joints. Like I said in your other post about the same problem, if it is "faint", and you can "barely" hear it, I wouldn't worry about it. If it bothers you, have a tech look at it, as you aren't going to fix it with a soldering iron and/or screwdriver. You're fortunate that it works at all, what with the wrong voltage and then the wrong fuses.

+1!

That poor amp got more abuse in a single microsecond than Monica Lewinski's knees did in eight years of "interning" for Bubba Clinton.
