I just bought a nos and i was wondering if anyone knows how many were mad, because it is a limited edition. I love the amp...sounds great and looks great, but is the tweed really NOS... meaning NEW<OLD>STOCK... original from the 1950s.

thanks for any help with this :o

mikeyp, the "NOS" in the case of the Tweed BJ is pure marketing hype from Fender.
As far as "Limited Edition" goes, think in terms of production numbers in the vicinity of Eleventy Billion and that would indicate how truley "Limited" it is. ;)

It's limited to how many people will buy them. NOS means "New Old Stock". There is nothing old about the NOS Tweed. The Blues Jr was not around in the 50's. Fender didn't use printed circuit boards or ribbon connectors in the 50's either. As Snowy said, its pure marketing hype.

Fender makes a "Relic" version of the Blues Jr, to make it look like a road worn amplifier. So, they offer a NOS version, which, is a brand new version of that amp. The NOS term is just marketing hype, as said before.

I've seen the Blues Jr relic models -- I must admit they look a helluva lot more realistic than those road-worn "recession relic" guitars. I had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn't a vintage tweed Harvard or Tremolux.

Hang in there mikeyp,

Your blues jr may not be vintage, and the blues jr itself may not be a vintage amp, or even collectable in the future. But if you like your amp, take real good care of it, and give it a couple of decades to mature and it may fetch a good price.

+1

That's the best we can hope for with any amp or guitar.

Rawk on!

Wow, talk about an egregious misuse of the "NOS" label.

man that is good to hear. Let us know when you find your next dream strat and dream amp. It will happen eventually. I love all my strats, but still need more. They all play the way I want them to, but there are so many sexy strats out there...I need another...and another, and another....
