I own a Vox AC4TV and am happy with it but it is loud (i only play in my basement for the audience of me). I have decided to buy either a Vibro Champ xd and keep the Vox or a Super Champ XD and trade or sell the Vox. If I go the Super route I will buy the Wber dummy load device to be able to use headphones.

Please someone help me make up my damn mind. I keep changing from minute to minute and every time I read something it changes my mind the other way. (no both is not an option).

If you're gonna go the headphone route, I'd use a pod....

if you like the vox then keep it... you will never get that full valve tone out of headphones, and using a big vox is obviously a bit over kill for an audience of 1 so id look at a smaller valve amp that you can drive to clipping with out bringing the roof down...

I hate to say this, but for your situation, I'd go with a GDec 30 or a Line 6 Spider Jam. You'll have a lot more flexibility and you'd be able to hook it up to your computer and jam to live tracks too.

I am in the opposite camp...I would get the SCXD(yes, I have one and it has replaced the majority of my amps) You don't need headphones because you can get really great tube tone without having to crank it at all. I also love the DSP effects and overall sound!
ABS :D
