Hey does anyone know how to figure how old this used Blues Deville is that I recently picked up. It has the blue frame speakers and the tag on the front only has "fender" some I have seen have "fender blues deville" on the front. Any info is appreciated, it sounds great for that matter.

Check the QA sticker on the left, inside cabinet as you are behind the amp. Should be a couple of letters.

That's part of the problem I am having locating the qa sticker. It has the one on the left side that shows the tubes and the footswitch model number but no date codes. Also looked for a qa sticker on chassis that is supposed to have initials but don't see it unless I need to pull the chassis out to find it? I see some with black speakers so thought that may be a way to narrow it down and some have different fender emblem on the front that say blues deville. This one doesn't. It's not a big deal just wondering.

Does the tube sticker say Brea, CA? Made in USA?

Nope. The serial number metal tag on the back says made in mexico. Here is the tube sticker.

Oh. Made in Mexico Blues Deville Reissue. They quit putting the QA sticker on those. I think they can track it down with the serial number.

You may be chasing a ghost if a previous owner did a speaker swap.

The newer MiM units seem to be better constructed with an updated circuit board than the older USA made ones.

You could always pop the back off and read the version stamp off the main circuit board, that will at least get you a bit closer to the assembly dates ballpark.
In any event it is going to be newer than 2001 (at least that is when I think hotrod production moved to Mexico)

Hey thank you, it seems pretty new with original tubes and pretty clean my guess is mid 2000's but close enough. Now to get a bias kit added so I can mess around with nos power tubes and work this thing over. Nos 12ax7's already sound great The 4 10's definitely sound different than my twin with 12's not necessarily better but different and pretty cool together. Appreciate your research.

The Blues Deville Reissue already has a bias adjustment pot, so nothing else is needed. Here is a link to the service manual. It says "Blues Deluxe Reissue" but the Deville is included also.

Wow this is great, so It lools like the adjust pot is R82 which I noticed when I took off the back cover, and the Test point is TP26. Its not as simple as my Twin with the portols on the back of the amp, but I assume I use my volt meter and put the positive on TP26 and the Negative where? somewhere on the chassis? and set it to 60mva, Then where do I test to make sure the reading is balanced? "00".

I can look it up if you don't know off hand, this will make it much easier! Thank youi.
