You'd be way better off. The DRRI is actually a more versatile amp. Two real channels with separate EQ, four inputs, incredible reverb, reliable and well built. If you want to switch channels just pick up a Radial Engineering Tonebone JX-2 Pro Switchbone and you're all set.

I sold mine with 7 months warranty that I transferred to the new owner. I also explained all the problems I had with it and he figured what else could go wrong with it? He likes the amp and I have a clear conscience and an Egnater Rebel 20. Don't trade it in, sell it on craigslist locally. Shipping and rough handling really seems to kill these amps. Most places will only trade $200-275 for a HRDdlx in mint condition like mine was. I sold it locally for $475. It's not really too much amp, 40 watts is very controllable in a well designed amp. I used a 40 watt BF Vibrolux Reverb for decades before it was stolen and a 40 watt SF Bandmaster after that and was fine.
The design of the HRDlx itself is the problem and the linear taper pot make it hard to dial in.
