don't miss-quote me. re-read what wrote. tube amps and non-tube amps don't make better players, better players make better players. non-tube amps are an alternative to tubes, in my opinion a better alternative. and if you take a closer look at the Mustangs & FUSE, that's where the innovation is. the younger generation, not polluted by tube religion, is not affraid to try it, and might even adopt it. freedom of choice, good for them. time will tell.

why i am here? why are you here?? old glory boys, get frickin dog or something and go amuse yourselves.

as for my SE's, doubt i'll sell, it'll be 10 years soon, and i am still discovering new tones, they have been and continue to be a very enjoyable experience. I expect the Mustangs to be the same.

ciao,
johnny.

I think we should go over to the Mustang and Fuse forums (which JS can't seem to find no matter how many times he has been pointed to them) and teach them about tubes. Once they understand the true source of the tones (they think) they have just discovered, I bet they will abandon their plastic toys and plug into a real amp. 8)

Because in that forum he would see the reality that people are indeed having issues with FUSE and Mustang amps too. They are not as reliable and maintenance free as he would like to believe. I have a Mustang I and have already updated software twice in the short time I have owned it. Funny, I didn't need to upgrade the tubes in my other amps.

upgrade of Mustang software will continue as the software gets better and better. so are you that unhappy with the mustang? your findings please?

with toobs, there's the perpetual and elusive search for the perfect one, or set, from china, russia, maybe even botswana, and then there's the rectumfier - to toob or not to toob, boob. yeah sure, there's absolutely nothing to do on a tube amp..., but you might want to wear rubber gloves in case you to experience a ground loop through your body.

my life story? not likely here. but i see some of you tough guys need to meet in a forum or a dark bar where you can hold hands, stare into each other's eyes and tell stories... i hope you all find happiness there.

i like this forum, it brings out the real people, tough guys, and everyone else.

ciao,
johnny.

I can't really respect your opinion because of the way you are going about it, Johnny S. You are transferring guitar software from a computer to an amp and calling it great stuff. Why not just bring your laptop to a gig and plug it into the PA? Seems it would be more convenient. There is lots of guitar amp simulator software and interfaces out there, so if you like that tone......digital trickery, then why not do that. Seems the tones you like would be endless.

I never said I was unhappy with the Mustang. I said it's not the end-all, be-all, holy grail of amps you make modeling amps out to be.
You love claiming tube amps are obsolete and plagued with problems while ignoring the fact that software based modeling amps have their own unique flaws as well. And while we're at it, let's talk about obsolescence. Moore's Law comes to mind. The software and hardware people purchase are practically obsolete before they even hit store shelves with the pace of development in the industry. Seems to me tube amps lasted quite a bit longer than any processor or software out there.
You should hang out on your own cyber commander forum if you want legions of fans at your feet Johnny, because it's just not happening here. Oh, wait. What? Your forums still are not working? Been under construction for a long time, haven't they? Maybe you should get that up and running and sell your junk over there, not here.
