Anyone got any ideas how to deal with the buzzing backplate? Take off the whole back and hit the plate with a rubber mallet? It really is annoying, but that's the damn bit with the serial number on it...

EDIT: On closer inspection, a group of wires behind the backplate appear to be making that noise, not the plate itself. It's just a theory, but can any one pass on whether this rings true? Seems to calm mine down just by rotating the cable ties so that the nobbly bit (technical term) is not touching the backboard of the amp.

THe amp itself still has vibrations, and a faint slurping noise comes out of the speaker as any A note tails off. Bizarre piece of machinery!

I had the same problem with my BDRI. I redressed the cables and tie wraps to get them away from the back panel. Then I ran some clear RTV along where the ribbon cables contact the PCB to keep them in place. Finally, I put a washer on each screw between the back panel and chassis to space the back panel away from the chassis. I also put Eurotubes vibration damping rings on every tube. The amp is totally vibration free and it is amazing how much the tone cleaned up. I still have room vibration problems when I crank it up though.
