I had a Lexicon Reflex in the loop for quite a while when I took it out I started to get crackling, loss of sound . A friend told me that he had the same problem and that he would flip the standby switch and/or on off switch and it would fix the problem well in my case it did momentarily then the same thing. I read somewhere that a guitar cord connecting the send and return would stop the problem and it did. However, you can't keep a cord there forever. The thread where I read this trick didn't describe "how to clean the loop" so I can fix the problem. Any help GREATLY appreciated !!

Hi txtwang,

Sounds like your "Return" jack needs to be replaced. There is a small switch in the jack that opens when a plug is inserted into it, and is supposed to be closed when no plug is inserted. Either the contacts, and/or the spring is worn, and the jack should be replaced. Having a short cable inserted in the loop is the only easy fix without replacing the jack. You could use a small cable like the ones used to jump effect pedals together.

I didn't know how the jack was set up inside. So there is no cleaning just replacing ?
The amp is really new. Is this something that happen's with Fender loop's because a friend of mine has the same problem with his SuperSonic and it's also very new ?
Thank's, I appreciate your input and I will certainly check it out !! The amp is still under warranty !!

I think that if your amp is still under warranty (also your friend), it is better to contact the repair chop (or your dealers). 8)

I agree with Tissan, this is a warranty issue if the warranty is still in effect, and probably a jack problem. Depending on which type of jacks that you have, you may not even have access to properly clean them, as the contacts need to be opened and polished, not just sprayed with some "contact cleaner". Any "cleaning" would only be a temporary solution anyway, if it worked at all. I doubt it would help without being able to open the contacts, so replacement would be best. I would think that the Vibro King uses high quality Switchraft jacks.....?
