Talk about a Fender Fest !!!!

Just finished watching the entire double DVD of the 2010 Crossroads, Some fine music, a lot of fun watching The guys and gals having such a good time making music together.

I noticed Johnny lang is still using the DRRI and the route 66 pedal, looked like Clapton himself was the one using the new Super-Sonic 22 combo.

I did see a ton of tweed there also !!!!

A few botiques and marshalls , but the vast majority were good old Fenders.

Thanks for pointing that out about EC with the SS. I got the DVD for Xmas from my Wife and I've got to check that out. A few months back I saw the shorter version of the concert in the movie theater and became obsessed with getting more of an EC tone. I wound up getting the Supersonic 60 watt head & 4x12 cab in blonde and I'm in tone heaven now. My Marshall TSL 100 always kept me wanting more. I even thinned the pedals down to my Carbon Copy & Buddy Guy Wah. Everyone should try one of these amps. You won't be sorry.

It was the first time I had ever seen the new Super-Sonic 22 on a stage.

Threre was a very clear shot of Jhonny langs DRRI from the back and you could see a greenback in place of the stock speaker.

Little 22 watt amps are taking over the world of music, less 60 year old deaf guys in the future LOL !!!

Sorry guys, but I have to correct you ;-)

On the latest crossroad festival there was a Fender Super Sonic 60 (new version) on stage during E.C.s performance together with Steve Winwood. It's Steves amp as I've seen it on a concert DVD of E.C. and Winwood.

You only can recognize it on the tilt back legs. The 22 version hasn't got these.
Also the cabinet ist slightly larger on the 60 version but without a 22 model for comparison one can't take this for identification ;-)

Btw: the Super Sonics are great amps!! I've got the 22 model and it's "MY AMP" I've searched for during many years of buying and selling amps...

best regards
martin

Ya learn something new every day.

I didn't know the 22 didn't get tilt legs, My mistake.

Not a lot of discussion of the new 60 watt version, did they do any real changes to it ?
I loved my old S-S for its overdrive sounds, wasn't real crazy about the clean side.
