HI there!
Firstly - Merry Christmas!
Secondly - I have problem with fender frontman 212R guitar combo. When I turn in, it turns in drive channel and doesnt turn to clean channel using the footswith and channel select switch. Footswitch is OK and also the switch in panel is OK. I tested them. I have tested all connections, reheated them. The amp switches on in clean channel only if I reswitch the amp very fast. (Turn on and then - very fast turn off and again turn on - but if I turn the drive channel on, I cannot turn back to clean) . If footswitch is added the amp turns on in clean channel evertyme, but however, if I turn on drive it is impossible to turn back clean channel. So, where could be problem?

Hi KrisjanisG,

Sounds like a strange problem. You might check the jack for the foot switch, it could be faulty and cause problems like you have described. Do you have any static issues as often happens in winter with the dry air? Static can cause some strange operations with a solid state amp. Also, you might have a ground problem, check to make sure that your ground pins on the plugs are intact, and you are using a 3 prong outlet with good ground. Check to make sure your voltage from the outlet is close to what it should be also. Just some thoughts.

Ok, thanks for it. I measured voltages which are given in schematic. It seems like one diode is damaged, as one guy told me this amp has very difficult system for switching channels. I read about possibility that R144 and R 145 in schematic may be not connected so good as they should be, but in my case that's not the problem.
