I believe preset 8 on the SCXD is supposed to sound like a vintage British stack: anyone know which one??

I suppose it's desiged to sound like a Marshall? JTM 45?

I love the sound of this preset, anyone know what current modern amp will do this noise but at gig levels??

thanks

Probably Marshall "plexi" double stack (wall) even Hiwatt made stacked amps also Vox but Vox was more present in combo AC15/30. 8)

Plexi is usually known as "Super Lead Model 1959" made for Pete Townshend. The JTM45 1962 looks like the super lead but a little bit different due to GZ34 for rectification, and the derivative combo is also know as "bluesbreaker" 1962 combo used by Eric ClaptonI believe.

I stand corrected , thanks for the info; shame they don't make 'em like they used to!

As well as my SCXD I have a Marshall JVM215C - Channel 1 Orange or Red mode depending on gain settings will give you Voice 8 (and vice versa)
