The good thing about this forum is you get alot of differing opinions...the bad thing you get alot of differing opinions. Where 63superpro and Arjay(both mates of mine here on the forum) think this amp sucks...I love it. I don't mod my gear and am able to get the tone I want from it. I say try everything out that these find guys recommend and then make your final decision. I tend to like small tube amps and the idea of grab and go works for me. The days of playing professionally and having huge amps are long behind me. I tend to do small clubs and recording now so it is easy to get the sound of my music..:) I am not trying to cover anyone else's music.
ABS :D

If you notice that Pb with a "No" symbol around it you'll realize why Fender's not making a lot of hard-wired amps anymore. To comply with the eco-police, they're trying to stop using lead. I've seen a lot of machines using PCB's last a very long time. I used to deal with dialysis machines that had more than 50,000 hours of run-time without replacing any of the circuit boards. If you don't jump up and down on it like EVH, generally abuse it(opening it up without a ground strap on your wrist for example), or get it wet, it should last a very long while.

It's not really the "eco-police" I think it's more the "profit police". Lot's of companies are still making hand-wired amps without eco cop problems. Do dialysis machines use vacuum tubes? Not being a smart guy, I know nothing about them. I have two solid state amps that are over 30 years old and still work fine and I even dropped each one down a flight of stairs. One is an original Pignose and the other a Guild 4 that was made in New Jersey.
