Hi, Could I please get some feedback on this Amp, and Model
overall :?: Will be playing a Bar n' Grill Venue.
I already own a Tweed Champ Clone, and would also like a
Tone/ volume comparison between the two amps. Thanks :!:

Well Ozzie I can't give you a champ comparrison, but I can say
this is a great amp. It's loud in my house, in a taproom you may
need more depending on what your trying to accomplish. As you get
the volume up the clean goes away, in a good way. You can save the
clean with a new set of tubes from Torres amps, he already figured out
which ones are right, he also offers a faster breakup set. Billm has also
done a lot of research and development in the tweeking of this gem.
Do a search for billm amps good stuff there. Hope this helped.

The BJr is way louder than the Champ, has more bottom end, and you can achieve low-volume distortion easily when you need it because of the master volume control. The reverb is nice to have, too.

The only thing that's different (other than the tweed) about the NOS Tweed is the speaker. The electronics are all the same.

A/B the Lacquered Tweed BJ versus the standard BJ. The LTBJ's tone is Incredible with a capital I.

It's just the speaker. It's different, but it's not night and day. And not everybody likes the Jensen speaker. The top end is cleaner than the fizzy highs that you get with the stock speaker in the black BJr, but there are still many other better speakers.
