Random question here mates: I've got an amp in need of some mojo. Now, everyone knows that studies have shown purple jewel lights to increase mojo by 18%, but here's my problem: I ordered the Fender "purple" jewel and it's blue!

Where can I find a legitimately purple jewel light?
Thanks!

PFFFFFFFT!

Those in the know know that amber is where it's at!

Actually, jewel lamp colors seem to be hit-or-miss lately. The last genuine Fender part in blue I found looked purple to me.

Go figure!

Allow me to rephrase: for black tolex, purple is the way to go.
Of course, you are correct, that no blonde can go without amber. That is certain.

BTW: that's the second post of mine you've replied to in 5 minutes. You stalking me?

do a search for GLASS Vintage amp jewels

I have a moon yellow, a swamp dark green and several crazy shades of red, no purple

Thanks Tissan, but unfortunately that's the part that I ordered and it is flagrantly blue instead of purple. I found out the issue though: what I'm looking for is apparently referred to as "violet".

Hopefully I'll get it right this time.

Is there much difference between purple and violet?

Last night I started my gig with a green then changed to amber at the first break (in an electric blue DRRI) Next gig I'll use purple red and blue to determine which one :D sounds :D better.

That's the exact one I *just* bought. The first one I tried was the Authentic Fender Jewel in "purple" and it is navy blue. I'll let you know the difference when I get the second one.

For instance, I have this:
(looks blue but it is the Fender "purple" jewel

And I want this: ("violet" jewel)

My old 69 Bassman has a blue jewel,I don't know if it's original but it looks cool when lit up among all the red jewels in all my other amps. That's probably what makes the Bassman a great "blues" amp.

I don't know how old the one is in my '66 Pro Reverb but it is blue with some red mixed in,it doesn't look like somebody colored it,it looks like it was made that way...it's cool the way it kinda sparkles.
