I was wondering something. I have got a stock Hot Rod Deluxe. I saw some class A tubes for sale at a local guitar store. What i am wondering is , will it make a big difference in my tone and sound? Does it make the two dirty channels any better.

What is a class A tube? I've heard of class A amps. Who manufactures these class A tubes? You can run TAD's, JJ's, EH, etc. You can play with the preamp tubes and control the gain. They're the smaller ones usually 12ax7 or 12at7.
I run JJ's that I got from Eurotubes. If you call them, they can set you up with what you need. On the power tubes you will need to have the amp properly biased.

There aren't any Class A tubes. Class refers to the way an amplifier is biased. The Class A amp is one where the tubes are always running balls to the wall, just waiting for a signal to push. You can change the tubes on an amp for different tone though. You'd probably need a tech for that since it often requires changing the bias voltage for the tube.

I saw the ad for the tubes in Guitar Center. I was just following what the ad said. So I guess the best thing to do is just take the amp back to where I got it and let them HEAT it up some.

Yeah, try a few different amps with different power tubes. Get an idea of the type of tone your looking for and have the tech do the job. If you're looking for Fender tone you should try a few 6L6 or 6V6 amps. For a more Marshall like tone try some EL 34 or EL84 powered amps.

Good luck.
