I believe reverb should be seen and not heard. So I set reverb from 0 to 1.5.

I usually like only a hint of reverb, if I get to 3 it's too much. Of course it depends on which amp too, some sound better than others with the reverb cranked up. :)

Usually 2, 2.5 at most.

Add another person to this. I've found that I like reverb for a little depth and on the Twin it can get overpowering pretty quickly once I go beyond 3 with it.

It depends on what I'm playing. For songs with lots of gain in the drive stage I'll use less verb, anywhere from 0 - 3. For songs where I'm playing mostly clean or just a hint of breakup like the kind that only reveals itself when I'm really spanking it then I'll dial up the verb a little more. Usually 2 -5. Sometimes as high as 6. Not on Fender amps though. I find Fender verb circuits get a little muddy at those levels. The Rivera has a very lush and intense yet clean reverb that allows me to dial it much higher. I frequently adjust the verb level from song to song and this is one reason Mesa amps frustrate me cuz the verb control is always on the back.

Wow! All that just for cranking the reverb? Count me in, I'll crank it to 12 and break off the knob for some of that! Where is Pushy Galore?

if you have a good selection of amps this question cant be answered
by picking a choice above.
example, my blues jr set on 3 is like my peavy's set on 5, which is totally different than my carvin stacks, which are slightly different than my line6.
follow me?

i tend to run medium verb but different amps have different values... i run my blues deluxe a 8/12 and my FM100 at about 5/10... depends what music you like playing as well...

There is no typical setting for me.

The louder the master volume is, the less Reverb I need.

My reverb settings are mostly between 2 or 3.
I don't wanna hide my playing behind massive amounts of reverb.

If you have a really good amp cabinet with plenty of resonance you would be surprised that you wouldn't miss reverb...that is if you don't use much anyway.
The old Brown Super amp that I have sounds like it has it but doesn't...just the right amount.

That's why amps with cabinets made of MDF sound like such slugs.

What music are you trying to play ?
For surf the reverb tank is cranked a lot more than for blues or rock.

And........ I'd suggest 11 for shred, just to try to cover up that noise.
