not sure what I have here. serial # is LO565275 which should mean made in 2001. It has two gain controls, 2 channels, can't find a manual on the Fender site
doesn't sound like the clean channel is working (sounds distored on clean)
Anyone know why there are two gain controls?

This *may* be the schematic for your amp......

If so, it should give you a starting point to track down what ails it.

Best of luck, HTH

Hi pe001ne,

If that is the right schematic, looks like both gain knobs are push/pull. Gain 1 push/pull to select between the 2 channels (clean or gain), and gain 2 push/pull to select which gain setting to use (gain 1 setting, or gain 2 setting). Looks like the foot switch would also select which gain settings. :)

I believe you have the sleeper '93-'95 concert amp. It's a great amp if you can find one. The "LO" serial # stands for the Lake Oswego plant, which was the old Sunn plant. The first or yellow gain is med. drive. The 2nd or red gain is lead mode. The clean ch. vol. pulled out is like a bright sw. You may have a bad preamp tube that's causing problems. Try a fresh set of tubes and go from there. (the schematic posted above is correct) Hope this helps....barryg

+1 Very nice, but also very heavy amp.
