I am shopping for a new amp and have narrowed my search down to these two. I know everyone has different tastes and the only one that truly matters is how it sounds to me and which one I like best. But, I am interested in how you guys would vote if you were choosing...

The Egnater Tweaker is way more versatile than either of those two amps. Just my opinion. Both are just one trick ponies.

Tough call, I suppose if I were to be playing more hard rock and metal I'd opt for the orange, for more of a classic rock feel i'd go for the fender.
I don't think you'd be dissapointed with either.

63supro,
I tried the egnator tweaker a few weeks ago and thought the rebel 20 sounded much better. The tweaker seemed to be missing bottom end. Would you agree? Now the Vox nightrain.....wow, amazing tone.
Sorry for highjacking this thread.

i have to say that I M H O, orange amps suck. their tone is terrible.
theblues jr nos (i have one too) blows it away.
the egnator rebel 20 is a better amp, but that wasnt your question.

I don't think that Orange amps suck. I'm just not fond of the Tiny Terror.
The Tweaker I tried had plenty of bottom end. Did you try it with the Egnater cabinet? The Tweakre has an open back cab and the Rebel is closed back and ported. You really need to spend time with the Egnater amps. There's a lot going on with them. The tonal range in these amps is incredible. You can make just about any amp sound thin.

mornin 63 and happy thanksgiving.
i just dont like the orange amps. they sound fake and airy to me.
i agree with you on time spent with a egnator.
one cant begin to have a feel for the amp with 10 minutes time.
yeah gotta set down and spendsome time with them, get to know them,
flip switches and turning dials.
probably the best amps on the market right now IMO.

The Mesa Trans-atlantic is a stunning amp! its got plenty of amazing options!

Also, if you wanting a really good budget amp the new Ibanez TSA15 is insane, its got a built in tube screamer too!

I have played both and I have to admit I would go with the BJ NOS. I heard so many raves about the Orange TT and was incredibly disappointed when I A/B'd them. The BJ really sounded better to me. The TT was just...plain...nothing to write home about. I was disappointed because form what everyone said I was expecting more than what was delivered. BUT that is just my opinion. Good luck in your quest for TONE..:)

THe new Ibanez TS series amps are also great little amps and have the classic Tube Screamer circuitry built into the preamp to give you that lovely overdriven tone. The Egnator Tweaker is also another great choice. I have a Blues Jr. however and love the warm tones it puts out but it also sounds fabulous when overdriven-it has a real bluesy growl.

You gotta try them both out. I have a TT head/cab, and I did have a Blues Jr. I think Blues Jr's are great amps, and the only reason I don't still have mine is because of the Celestion speaker (I had the special emerald green BJ w/ V30). The regular BJ with the Eminence, or the NOS with the Jensen sound better to me. All that being said, I believe both the BJ and the TT are great little amps, but they don't have a whole lot in common, tonally speaking, to my ears.
