Hi all,

Well today I recieved a call from one of my local GC's and my contact rang and asked a first time request from me.

The request was....

He said; Mate we have the International Guitar Festival on this wekend, a touring act from the USA are playing this festival, the guitarist needs a Blues Deluxe RI which is his sound, Can we borrow your amp to facilitate their shows.

Apparently I am the only person in my town that this GC is aware of that has a Blues Deluxe RI at hand, They have already exhausted all local enquiries to no avail.

This GC which normally provides the backline for touring artist have tried to source this amp from other stores from all over Australia to get the response...NONE AVAILABLE...

If I lend my amp to the festival I will recieve free festival passes and see/hear my amp in action as an audience member, an opportunity to meet the touring artist and a story to tell my muso friends about my BDRI amp.

What would you do? Lend the amp for the weekend!!

YES or NO & why...

Here she is,

It should be a win-win bargain.

From my point of view, I would claim to have a jam with this poeple to have pleasure to see them play with your ampl.

I would do it but I would want to be near the stage to keep an eye on things, and something in writing from somebody stating repairs or compensation if it gets "lost".
With everything that happens at shows and festivals,I wouldn't be able to be in the audience watching,I would at least get a backstage pass.

Heck yeah you should do it! I would get the artist to autograph your amp too. Maybe on the back panel. 8)

I would do it! And, yes, stay close to the amp, and/or get assurance of who is responsible for it. I think that it would be kind of thrilling to see and hear the amp from a different perspective, in the audience. :)

Yeah this has already been arranged. I asked of them to send me an email stating the arrangement and also they said that they would fully replace the whole amp if anything went wrong. That included my mods to it of the FULL set of JJ tubes, JENSEN JCH 12-70 speaker.

They are picking it up this morning and it will go into a sturdy roadcase.

Having the back panel of the amp signed sounds like a good idea.

I will let you's know who the band are when I find out today.. apparently blues roots music from the USA.

Yes I will be backstage, or at least side of stage when gig is on but I think I will enjoy listening to hear work from the front of house. Through a nice big production. :D

The band using my amp are not from the USA as stated to me. But that's ok.

They are an Australian band from Queensland called,

The Mason Rack Band.

In any event I have tickets to go see them and hear my amp from a different perspective.

Here is a vid of them in action, I believe it's a festival they played at in Canada.

Cheers
