I had previously posted asking if anyone had created a patch to emulate any Mesa Boogie amp. There were no replies that I know about. So, it got me thinking "where do you begin to get the needed info for creating a patch that replicates another amp?"

Where do you start? Would a schematic provide starting information? What about the tone stack info? Where do you find it? Pre or Post etc...

Does any one have a method that they use for gathering information to begin creating an amp patch from scratch?

Hi shadowwolf,

What do you mean by patch? Are you talking about modifying a Fender amp to make it sound like a Mesa Boogie amp? :?

This was supposed to post in the Cyber Twin Users Group. I don't know why it wound up on here.

Was gonna say, this sounds like an ambitious build...
