HI I am a little confused. I hope someone can help me. I have a SS 22 and would likr to hook up and external speaker cab. It is a 2X12 8 ohm. The speaker outputs say Parralell Speaker Output 8ohm Min. Can I use the internal ans the external at the same time? I want the internal and external cab to be used if possible. I did not buy the external cab yet so I could change the ohms if needed?

Thanks
Geo

Hi geomcnasty,

According to the schematic, you can use the 8-ohm internal speaker AND an 8-ohm external cabinet at the same time for a total of a 4-ohm speaker load. :)

Schematic:

Thanks but the manual and schematic are for the 60
Watt super sonic. Mine is the 22 watt version. I can not find anything in my owners manual about it m

We suppose that 22WW schematic is identical as 60W. If you have the schematic let us know.

geomcnasty, all of the SS 1x12 combos use an 8-ohm 12 inch internal speaker, with switching jacks to switch impedance when plugging in an external cabinet. Fender uses 8-ohm speakers. The manual is for both combos and heads "up to 60 watts".

Where did you read this, on the amp? That says it all right there. It says you can hook up an 8-ohm external cabinet, with the internal 8-ohm speaker. Both used together like this are parallel connected, 4-ohm total.
